In 2020 all my goals and development plan kind of went sideways and half of what I wanted to accomplish was just not possible, like running the Jr Park Run course or swimming goals. I did manage to hit some of my weightlifting goals, like a 50Kg deadlift, and a 25Kg Clean and Jerk, getting close to my bodyweight overhead, but other stuff, like gymnastics and running, covid got in the way!
So in the next year I want to keep growing and improving at CrossFit and weightlifting so I thought I would share with you guys my goals for 2021.
- I’m close to a 20Kg snatch so in 2021 I want to do a bodyweight snatch
- 35kg Clean and Jerk
- 75kg Deadlift
- Handstand without support for 10-seconds
- 15 unbroken pull ups
- Improve my running, I want to improve my 2Km time to be consistently under 11-minutes and my 400m time to under 90-seconds and improve my short sprints.
- I want to improve my 500m swim time as well
I’m also going to try and do a lot more stuff towards one day getting my own gym and qualifications as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. I can’t take my qualifications until I’m 16, but I can get experience and learn from others, so I’m going to start a YouTube kids fitness channel and try and get some more interviews and maybe get to shadow some coaches and personal trainers to see what I can pick up from them. This had already got me a promise form Gym Group to take me on work experience and I’ve been in the Daily Express and on LadBible.com because of it, so I might even get some more modelling work which would be cool.
In 2021 I’m going to make 21 Teddy Bear Workouts and put them on YouTube so other kids can complete the challenge and I’ll then send them a certificate.
If we can get on top of Covid it’s going to be an epic year!
